A grant from the Ralph and Mildred Johnson fund of the Community Needs Funds of Northern Illinois has provided a grant to purchase the Accelerated Reader Program. To help with the motivation for the reading program incentives would be helpful.

Gift certificates to the following places valued at $5-$20 each will be be used for those in our Accelerated Reader Program:

  • Wal-Mart

  • Laser Tag

What was your favorite book in school? It may become a favorite of a LYDIA student too. Would you consider helping us expand our reading library? We’re accepting new and gently used books, 3rd-12th grade reading level that are interesting to high-school aged teens.

The following books are high interest subjects for our students and at the appropriate reading level:
